A 14TU slurry pump in an iron-ore concentrator was re-rated to run at Best Efficiency Point for the cyclone feed duty.

Cyclone overflow was fluctuating and impeller life was shorter than expected. Wear-pattern analysis showed the pump was running off Best Efficiency Point and the liner grade did not match the actual duty.
We supplied a 14TU horizontal slurry pump re-rated to run at Best Efficiency Point for the actual cyclone feed duty, with a liner grade matched to the duty and a heavy-duty bearing assembly. The pump configuration was matched to the site’s drive and foundation layout.
Cyclone overflow became more consistent, and intervals between impeller replacements increased. The mine now keeps pre-built spare wet-end sets in stock.
